Laura Palmese
Executive Director
Laura is a lawyer, graduated from the Central American Technological University (UNITEC) with magna cum laude distinction. She also holds a master's degree in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the University of Oregon, United States.
Laura began her work as a volunteer for the Environmental Law Institute of Honduras (IDAMHO) in 2011, served as General Coordinator from 2013 to 2015 and returned in 2020 to serve as Executive Director. As such, Laura directs the work of IDAMHO and develops initiatives to protect and preserve the environment.
Yosmeri Izamar Rivera
Junior Legal Officer
Izamar is a lawyer, graduated from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH); with cum laude distinction. He has various studies and knowledge in human rights, and also has multiple skills and abilities.

She began her work at the Institute of Environmental Law of Honduras (IDAMHO) in June 2024 as a Junior Legal Officer and since then she has contributed by effectively carrying out her work, developing in a comprehensive and dynamic way, with the ability to provide effective assistance and collaborate in favor of environmental protection.
